To get a deeper understanding of the power of the various African Tools for mental freedom I found a lot of answers in the fundamental values of African traditional spirituality and metaphysics.

Myths embody philosophical reflections, express values, and identify moral standards in African oral culture, this all appears to be interconnected with more different indigenous belief systems that can be found all around the world.

These are well-founded in the ideology that we are all collectively connected (ubuntu), and therefore we can collectively give direction to the going and standing of our world and personal life by focusing on intent and taking action in our physical reality.

To realize this intention there has to be cooperation with your spirit to consciously create your reality.

Basically, these Ideologies recognize the power of the mind as a tool to shift reality and perception.

What we put our mind to we can achieve, what we want to achieve on a personal level should be in correlation with what our soul and spirit came here to do on earth.

This requires us to take moments of stillness and inner contemplation to connect to our spirit, but if we can't do this on an individual level, how will we ever be able to shift the collective course of this world to a more positive worldview and outcome?

The sad reality is that we have lost this connection to spirit as humanity, partly due to strategic collective trauma.

(war, oppression, slavery, brainwashing through media/religion,

bio-genetic warfare, financial rat race, etc.)

I see war as a strategy for controlling the mind because as it is already described scientifically, the mind is easier to program or reprogram after a profound trauma, this is the basis of mind control. The sad thing about this is that it generationally alters our DNA which makes it harder to connect to our innate inner wisdom and authentic nature.

Not only has there been a separation between people but also between spirit and body, this chronic state of survival has left generative scars that we can only heal by remembering who we are, 'A spiritual being having a human experience.'

African mythology/Metaphysics is key to freeing our mind and spirit because it is grounded in the connection between people-nature and sacred esoteric knowledge of the divine order of this world, actually the blueprint or primal wisdom of what it is to be a spiritual being having a human experience and its potential strength which we, in the west lost track of.

How we implement this natural order in our lives is demonstrated through symbols and deities that possess qualities that we too can embody, these qualities give direction to our intentions, thoughts, and actions, and thus create our reality and in doing so we break the chronic state of separation of self, nature, others...
