The Law Of Unity
The inhumane aspect of corona measurements
This Corona epidemic has exposed us to our vulnerabilities as human beings.
On the other hand, I feel It has opened up a conversation about our connectedness to each other and also mother earth.
Just like the trees grow in soil from seeds that are carried by the winds or flowers that are fertilized by bees, we too, live in a natural cycle that is interrelated and closely connected to survive.
Even though narcissism has ruled this world for quite some time, we too have a desperate need for connection with one another, and how separation whether mental or physical can literally make us sick.
This pull for connection is a universal law I feel is more than ever relevant to discuss today.
In this digital day-to-day life, we tend to forget our effect on one another and seem to be moving towards a very individually focused society, this is not only translated in the way we treat each other but also in our mental health.
No one should feel alone in a world of 7 billion people, yet a lot of times, we do.
An analogy of human self destruction
I say this with deep respect en honor for those who passed.
In my young life, I have lost two friends to suicide, both seemingly happy people.
They were always ready to help others and had a loving and kind nature.
However, when faith took them away, I was left with the question, how alone did they feel at such a young age, to want to take such drastic measures?
My conclusion from a holistic point of view is a disconnection from their multidimensional nature (mind, body, and spirit),
The DSM would say suicidal depression.
Either way, to me, they were not able to access the deeper layers of their being and got stuck on one plane of consciousness that separated them from connecting to others around them, and they died slowly from the inside out.
It’s like not being connected to self and therefore others sets off a self-destruct button in a human.
Programmed peer pressure
Another thing this Virus has taught me is that we live in a society that rejects the interconnectedness of our innate nature for the sake of not falling out of line with what ‘the system’ is projecting, we feel it makes us sicker to isolate, we know we need that hug, we know we need that company but still, we freeze in fear we might be judged or worse alienated by others for wanting to be human.
Spiritual aspects
We are all a reflection of each other and we all need each other because on a spiritual level our souls came here to experience each other, if we ignore this, we ignore our birthright and we might as well turn into robots, robots that are biologically alive but are spiritually dead!
When we feel disconnected from our soul it has a profound effect on our mental health, and we don't feel whole because of it.
What we truly want is to be loved like a newborn baby, loved just for being born. We can't, however, expect or wait to be loved in this way as adults, so we have to find compassion for ourselves by self-acceptance and forgiveness for all the times we were not loved fully or failed to love ourselves.
That's why I want to talk about the "law of unity", it is of vital importance to our mental well-being.
This law entails that Everything in the world has a certain rhythm and order, and our universe speaks according to certain laws that support life.
Every time we feel separate and selfish, we weaken our lives.
Every time we feel fearful or threatened we attack our own health (mental and physical)
It is therefore important to be aware of our perception and underlying trauma’s so we can take action with loving intent, and from there make a conscious shift in our lives to choose love and life every time we feel separate, selfish fearful, or threatened.
The further we remove ourselves from unity, whether physical or mental the closer we will identify ourselves with degeneration, pain, and mental suffering.
Whenever we think in violation of the law of 'unity', we weaken ourselves.
Every time we take actions that are negative for our environment or others, we evoke disease in our bodies.
What we do to others, we also do to ourselves, and how we feel internally, is externally reflected.
It's all a cycle. That is why I choose love, with my words, thoughts, and actions towards myself and others.
“If you love Yourself, you love others, if you hate yourself, you hate others, in relationships with others it is only you mirrored” - Osho
